Apache cross domain security
I have my own custom site hosted on Apache that makes an AJAX call to a
third party site, this site doesn't run on apache but it's own webserver,
both sites are hosted on the same machine.
On the LAN everything works perfect!
I have created a dyndns entry and have configured virtual host on my
apache server.
All this works and my site is displayed on the internet correctly.
However when I make my AJAX call Nothing happens, when I check in firebug
I can see the request is made, but the call just waits for a response.
I think this is some form of apache security issue.
I am using PHP to make the request as I know that AJAX Jquery/Javascript
will not work across the domain in my situation I have no control over the
3rd party site so JSON etc is out of the question.
I am no apache expert but feel this must be the problem as my PHP call
works fine on the LAN?????
thanks for any thoughts or pointers anyone can give me.
